The Ordinance of the Government of Georgia on the Approval of the Technical Regulations “Standards of Radiation Safety and Basic Requirements for the Handling of Ionising Radiation Sources” shall define the importance of deregulation when, within the framework of permitted activities, the Regulatory Authority decides to deregulate radioactive materials or nuclear radiation facilities.

b) taking all necessary measures for the protection and safety of personnel and the public, including maintaining the doses received within the established limits and taking all necessary measures to minimize the harmful effects of ionising radiation on the public both now and in the future;
