The Lower Oligocene sediments in the Maikopian series of Megrelia are presented by clays, siliceous-zeolitic tuffs and tuffites: the Middle and Upper Oligocene by typical Maikopian clays, and the Lower Miocene by alternation of clays and sandstones.
