In particular, it has transpired that originally the materials were preserved in the library of the monastery of Capuchins, and on 7 February 1936 they were moved to the National Royal Library (at present National Library of Naples), where they are preserved to the present day, under the call number “XX. 122”.

XVIII-XX სს.-ში სხვადასხვა მეცნიერის მიერ შედგენილ ჩამონათვალთა შესწავლის საფუძველზე გამოვლენილია, რომ 1886-1936 წლებში დაიკარგა ბერნარდე ნეაპოლელისეული ერთი ქართული ხელნაწერი, ანუ ის, რომელიც შეიცავდა „რომანცს ან ქართულ ზღაპარ „ბაამას“, ჟამთააღმწერლის ე. წ. „ასწლოვანი მატიანის“ ორმოცგვერდიან უძველეს ფრაგმენტსა და „პატარა პოემა რესკარიანს“.
A study of the lists drawn up by various scholars in the 18<sup>th</sup>-20<sup>th</sup> centuries, has shown that in 1886-1936 one Georgian manuscript of Bernarde of Naples was lost, which contained the “Romance” or the Georgian Fairy Tale “Baama”, an earliest, forty-page fragment of the so-called chronicle of “One Hundred Years” of the “Zhamtaaghmtsereli”, and “A small poem “Reskariani”.

While working on an annotated biobibliography of Academician Hellen Metreveli in Tbilisi in the summer of 2007, the late Professor Valeri Silogava showed me an old fragment of Kartlis Tskhovreba in two pages, namely of the “Chronicle of one Hundred Years” by an anonymous author.

იგი თავდაპირველად ქართლში XVII ს.-ის 70-იან წწ.-ში ნამყოფ იტალიელ ბერს, ანტონიო ჩოფის ეკუთვნოდა და საქართველოში მიხეილ თამარაშვილს ნეაპოლის ახლოს მდებარე დაბა ტორე დელ გრეკოს ფრანცისკელი კაპუცინი ბერების მონასტრიდან ჩამოეტანა.
It had earlier belonged to the Italian monk Antonio Cioffi who had sojourned in Kartli in the 1670s. The fragments had been brought to Georgia by Mikheil Tamarashvili from the monastery of Franciscan Capuchin monks at Torre del Greco close to Naples.

In February 2008 I visited the municipal library of Torre del Greco and familiarized myself with the books of the Capuchin monastery, numbering up to three thousand printed volumes, most of them dating from the 16<sup>th</sup>-17<sup>th</sup> centuries.

At the time of my visit, two thousand books were kept in a special facility: only 956 of these volumes were catalogued; the remaining books and fragments of MSS were scattered about in another room.
