Rights and duties of a social worker working in the field of adoption are: (a) To assess the prospective adoptive parent in the terms of his or her biographical background, personal characteristics, social status and the state of health; (b) To establish the prospective parent's motives for the adoption of a child and their conformity with the objects of adoption.
