რ) ახორციელებს ბირთვული ან რადიოლოგიური საგანგებო სიტუაციის გამოკვლევის ორგანიზებას, ჩატარებული კვლევის შედეგების შეფასებასა და შედეგების ანალიზს, ბირთვული ან რადიოლოგიური საგანგებო სიტუაციის განმეორების თავიდან აცილების მიზნით.
q) organise an investigation of a nuclear or radiological emergency, evaluation of the results of the investigation and analyse them in order to prevent a recurrence of a nuclear or radiological emergency.

ს) სამინისტროს სისტემაში შემავალი საჯარო სამართლის იურიდიული პირის − გარემოს ეროვნული სააგენტოს მიერ წარდგენილი მეტეოროლოგიური მონაცემების საფუძველზე ადგენს პროგნოზს გარემოს შესაძლო რადიაციული დაბინძურების არეების შესახებ.
r) based on meteorological data provided by the National Environmental Agency, a legal entity of public law within the Ministry, make forecasts for areas of possible radiation pollution of the environment.

ტ) ასრულებს ატომური ენერგიის საერთაშორისო სააგენტოს ინციდენტებისა და ავარიული სიტუაციების ცენტრის (შემდგომში − აესს-ის ცენტრი) ეროვნული პასუხისმგებელი პირის ფუნქციებს.
s) perform the functions of the National Officer in Charge of the Incident and Emergency Centre of the International Atomic Energy Agency (hereinafter - the IAEA Centre).

უ) ასრულებს ეროვნული პასუხისმგებელი პირის ფუნქციას „ბირთვული ავარიის ან რადიაციული ავარიული სიტუაციების შემთხვევაში დახმარების შესახებ“ კონვენციის მიზნებისთვის და უზრუნველყოფს საერთაშორისო დახმარების შესახებ შეტყობინების გაგზავნას აესს-ის ცენტრში, ამგვარი საჭიროების არსებობის შემთხვევაში.
t) perform the functions of the National Office in Charge for the purposes of the Convention on Assistance in the Case of a Nuclear Accident or Radiological Emergency and ensure that notification of international assistance is sent to the IAEA Centre if necessary.

მარეგულირებელ ორგანოში ფუნქციონირებს ბირთვულ ან რადიოლოგიურ საგანგებო სიტუაციებზე რეაგირების მართვის ცენტრი, რომლის შემადგენლობა და ფუნქციები განისაზღვრება საქართველოს გარემოს დაცვისა და სოფლის მეურნეობის მინისტრის ბრძანებით.
The Regulatory body shall manage the Nuclear or Radiological Emergency Response Management Centre, the composition and functions of which are determined by the order of the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.

The Legal Entity of Public Law - National Environmental Protection Agency shall provide meteorological data to the Regulatory Authority to determine the forecast of possible areas of radiation pollution of the environment.

In the event of a nuclear or radiological emergency, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, in addition to the powers provided for by legislation, shall:

a) ensure the implementation of civil security measures.

ბ) უზრუნველყოფს და აკონტროლებს ეროვნული და ტრანსსასაზღვრო რადიაციული ავარიებისთვის მზადყოფნისა და მათი შედეგების ლიკვიდაციის, ბირთვული და რადიაციული ობიექტების (გარდა მაიონებელი გამოსხივების გენერატორების შემცველი ობიექტებისა) ფიზიკურ დაცვას.
b) ensure and control preparedness for national and transboundary radiation accidents and the elimination of their consequences, as well as the physical protection of nuclear and radiation facilities (with the exception of facilities containing ionising radiation generators).

ბირთვული ან რადიოლოგიური საგანგებო სიტუაციის შემთხვევაში, საქართველოს შინაგან საქმეთა სამინისტროს ცენტრალური კრიმინალური პოლიციის დეპარტამენტი ბირთვული ან რადიოლოგიური საგანგებო სიტუაციის დანაშაულებრივი წარმოშობის შემთხვევაში, საერთაშორისო მასშტაბით, ახორციელებს ინფორმაციის შეგროვებასა და მის წინააღმდეგ ბრძოლას.
In the event of a nuclear or radiological emergency, the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia shall collect information if a nuclear or radiological emergency arises from a criminal act, and combat it on an international scale.

ამ მიზნით, იგი მჭიდროდ თანამშრომლობს საქართველოს სამართალდამცავ ორგანოებთან, სხვა სახელმწიფოების შესაბამის სამსახურებსა და ინტერპოლის გენერალურ სამდივნოსთან.
To this end, it shall closely cooperate with the law enforcement agencies of Georgia, the relevant services of other States and the General Secretariat of Interpol.

ბირთვული ან რადიოლოგიური საგანგებო სიტუაციის შემთხვევაში, საქართველოს შინაგან საქმეთა სამინისტროს საპატრულო პოლიციის დეპარტამენტი: ა) უზრუნველყოფს სამოქალაქო პირთა უსაფრთხოებას.
In case of a nuclear or radiological emergency, the Patrol Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia shall: a) ensure the safety of the civilian population.

გ) კომპეტენციის ფარგლებში, გადაუდებელ დახმარებას უწევს დაზარალებულ, ასევე უმწეო მდგომარეობაში მყოფ პირებს და იღებს შესაბამის ზომებს უმეთვალყურეოდ დარჩენილი ქონების დასაცავად.
c) within its competence, provide urgent assistance to victims, as well as to persons in desperate situations, and take appropriate measures to protect property left unattended.

d) receive, process and provide information to the relevant authorities on nuclear or radiological emergencies.
