Thus in 1880 A. Tsagareli published a Russian translation of a Megrelian fairy-tale ("Sanartia tale") in St. Petersburg. Later M. Wardrop entered her English translation of the cited fairy-tale in her collection of Georgian folk tales.

At the end of the 19th century two essays were published in Berlin: by Wolfgang Golther and Wladislaus Nehring. The object of their discussion was the resemblance of the "Sanartia tale" with the Nibelungenlied.
