პროექტის მიზანია საბჭოთა/რუსეთის შეიარაღებული ძალების გასვლის შემდეგ 11 (თერთმეტ) ქართულ სამხედრო ბაზაზე დატოვებული რადიოაქტიური ნარჩენების გაუვნებლება და იმის საბოლოოდ დადასტურება, რომ მიწა გაწმენდილია ნებისმიერი დაბინძურებისგან და უსაფრთხოდ შეიძლება იქნეს გამოყენებული სამხედრო მოსამსახურეებისა და ადგილობრივი მოსახლეობის მიერ.
The purpose of the Project is to decontaminate 11 (eleven) Georgian military bases from radioactive residues left over by Soviet/Russian armed forces, and finally to certify that the land is clear of any contamination and can be used safely by servicemen and the local population.

პროექტის რეალიზაცია იწყება ორივე მხარის მიერ წინამდებარე შეთანხმების ხელმოწერის თარიღიდან და გაგრძელდება სამი (3) თვის განმავლობაში, შეწყვეტის შესახებ წინასწარი გაფრთხილების გარეშე.
The implementation of the Project shall start on the date of signature of this Agreement by both Parties and shall last for three (3) months, without any advance notice of termination required.

განახორციელოს 1 დანართში მითითებული ამოცანები და, ამ მიზნით, კავშირი იქონიოს და კოორდინირებულად იმოქმედოს თავდაცვის სამინისტროსთან, საქართველოს შეიარაღებული ძალების გაერთიანებულ შტაბთან, საქართველოს გარემოს დაცვისა და ბუნებრივი რესურსების სამინისტროსთან და საქართველოს სხვა იმ სამინისტროებთან და ორგანოებთან, რომლებთანაც საჭირო შეიძლება იყოს პროექტის მიზნების მისაღწევად.
Perform the tasks prescribed in Annex 1 and, to that effect, liaise and co-ordinate with the Ministry of Defence, the Joint Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces, the Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Natural Resources of Georgia and other Georgian Ministries and authorities as may be required to achieve the Project objectives.
