The objectives of this Agreement are: (a) to facilitate trade in wine among the Parties; (b) to avoid, in accordance with the WTO Agreement, the application of obstacles to such trade, through the mutual acceptance by the Parties of their respective mechanisms for regulating oenological practices as provided for in their respective laws, regulations and requirements.
